Thongsbridge coach, Georgina Jackson, whose main focus is developing the Mini Tennis programme at the club, has received national recognition for her tremendous energy, enthusiasm and talent, having been named LTA Coach of the Month.
Georgina has helped Thongsbridge Tennis Club achieve 157 regularly competing juniors including 96 Mini Tennis players.
Part of this success has been down to her efforts in ensuring that parents and players understand the Mini Tennis system and the player pathway. She encourages her players to enjoy playing tennis and helps them to achieve high standards in the game.

In conjunction with two other clubs, she has set up inter club Mini Tennis performance leagues to help her players follow the correct path in the Mini Tennis game.
Georgina has also led more than 60 juniors at a recent Clubmark Talent ID Day that was organised by the county office. She directed a very successful day that offered a wide range of clubs the chance to nominate for the Talent ID process. Georgina regularly offers her time to help at County Talent ID days and to watch her players at tournaments.

Georgina is also the 18 & Under Girls County Cup captain who last year maintained their position in Group 1 at Bath. She will hoping to do well again this year, when she heads off to Bath with the 2012 squad, and will be taking no less than 3 Thongsbridge girls, in the shape of Kim Atkinson, Holly Horsfall and Charlotte Kershaw.

Her boundless energy and organizational skills are an inspiration to all at the club, and it is a well deserved accolade for this hugely appreciated and respected coach.
