Charlotte Margetson had her first Green tournament win in the grade 4 Winter County Tour at Wrexham last week. As no.1 seed she had a bye in the 1st round, had a relatively easy semi-final but had to fight hard in the final against Amy Humphries. Her opponent hit hard and consistently and Charlotte did well to stay calm after losing the first set 2:4 and remain focused on her own game plan. Charlotte took the second set 4:1 and took the match in a tiebreak 10-7.

Dominic Vesely collected his first silverware in the 9U age group in Virgin Active Warwick Open. Dominic went through the round 16, quarterfinal and semi-final comfortably. He met local talent Dylan Sanghera in the final. Dylan started very strongly and went 4:0 up early on. Dominic tried hard to come back but he never recovered from his slow start and he lost 7:4, 7:5, collecting the runner up trophy.
