Tournament Titans – Spring block 5
Ala Kaliszewi
Over Easter, Ala has put together a superb run of tournaments. Having made several finals in the lead up, she ended the Easter period with two Grade 3 titles at Chesterfield and Bolton – A great achievement. Throughout this period Ala has also represented Yorkshire in the County Cup where they finished runners up. Well done Ala, the hard work spent on court continues to pay off!
Seb Beetlestone
Seb has had an amazing last few months, with the highlight resulting in him reaching number 1 in Great Britain in the 9&U rankings! He also won the National Grade 2 North 9&U event, and was unbeaten in singles representing Yorkshire at County Cup! His form has continued when playing up an age group at 10&U where he won a Grade 5, was runner up in a Grade 4, and 3rd placed in a Grade 3. His improvement and outstanding form have been down to hard work and practising in all weathers – well done Seb!
Oliver Zamberlan
Oliver has had an outstanding block of tennis. His hard work and commitment have resulted in him winning two Grade 5s, one Grade 4, and two Grade 3 9&U events. This has led to him being awarded a wild card into the Grade 2 in Corby – a huge achievement! His dedication to travelling to events all over the country is outstanding and he thoroughly deserves the title of Tournament Titan!
Deyvon Butlin
Not many weekends pass by without Deyvon appearing in a tournament draw. He is totally dedicated to his own development and goes from strength to strength in terms of his tournament results. Deyvon finished the Easter period by winning several qualifying matches which allowed him to be included in the main draw of his first U10 Grade 2 event at Wrexham – A superb effort and well deserving of the ‘Tournament Titan’ crown. Well done Deyvon!
