The start of the new term saw the 2009 Thongsbridge Junior Club Championships get underway, with youngsters eager to crown their summer successes with their club title.

The under 12s got off to a flying start, with some impressively competitive matches, and it was a feisty performance from Joel Ezro that gave him the boys’ title, with Will Rowe a worthy runner up. The girls’ title went to Holly Horsfall, with the up and coming Emily Young taking the runners up trophy.
