Position: Part-time receptionist/administrator

About the Role

The applicants must be energetic and forward thinking, have attention to detail, well organised, well presented, a pleasant manner and a team playerApplicants must have IT knowledge including Microsoft Office, Social Media, excellent communication skills (both verbally and written), organisational skills and prompt time-keeping. You must be able to deal with cash and payments accurately and provide an excellent level of customer service at all times.  

Hours of work

  • Monday 2.00pm - 6.30pm 
  • Sunday 8.30am – 6pm 
  • Extra hours will be available for holiday cover and sickness. 

 Duties will include

  • Answering and making telephone calls

  • Taking and keying customer details efficiently

  • Dealing with customer queries and bookings

  • Promoting the club and events

  • Day to day administration and encouraging new membership whilst showing visitors around the club

  • Adding new members, adding children and adults to coaching groups and studio classes to our booking system

  • Ensuring invoices are fully paid and any tasks are fully complete and accurate 

  • Assisting in serving members at the coffee bar.

As we are a fully licensed club the age required for the applicant is 18 and above.  This position involves lone working during parts of the shift and securing the club on an evening.

Position: Part-time Bar Operators

About the Role

 Thongsbridge Tennis & Fitness Club has an opening for 2 or 3 bar operators 
The shifts are suitable 2 or more applicants, please specify your choice of shifts

Hours of work

  • Monday 3pm- 11/11.30pm 
  • Tuesday 3pm-11/11.30pm 
  • Wednesday 3pm-11/11.30pm 
  • Thursday 3pm-11/11.30pm 
  • Friday 3pm-10.30pm 

 Duties will include

  • The running of the bar and café seating area, keeping tables and areas clean at all times.   
  • Serving hot and cold drinks (barista training will be provided).  
  • Keeping the bar stocked and correctly rotated.  
  • The upselling of products and events whilst serving customers. 
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of all crockery, equipment, shelving, fridges and ice cream freezer. 
  • Accuracy when using and balancing the bar till. 
  • Assisting in reception duties such as booking tennis courts and fitness slots, showing potential new members around and adding them to our booking system, taking membership payments. 
  • Applicants must provide an excellent level of customer service at all times.

Position: Padel Coach
Location: Thongsbridge, Holmfirth, West Yorkshire
Employment Type: Self-employed

About the Role

Thongsbridge tennis & Fitness Club is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Padel Coach to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for padel, a strong coaching background, and the ability to inspire players of all ages and skill levels. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of padel within our community and help players reach their full potential. 

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality padel coaching sessions for individuals and groups
  • Develop tailored training programmes for players of varying abilities
  • Organise and lead padel clinics, camps, and tournaments
  • Provide feedback and guidance to help players improve their skills and tactics
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating environment on and off the court
  • Assist with club events and promotional activities
  • Maintain equipment and ensure the safety of all participants 

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a padel coach or relevant coaching qualification 
  • Strong knowledge of padel techniques, rules, and strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage players of all ages
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • First Aid certification (preferred)
