Thongsbridge on tour: tennis, teamwork and great memories!

This week, coaches Matt and Kieron had the pleasure of taking six young players on a memorable two-day trip to Cheshire – a trip that quickly became known as “Thongsbridge on Tour!”

The adventure was packed full of tennis, activities and opportunities to build friendships both on and off the court. The group trained at beautifully maintained park set up, before heading to Croftside Tennis Club for more tennis and match play. Away from the courts, there was plenty of fun too, with bowling, mini golf and amusement games all helping to create a brilliant team atmosphere.

One of the highlights of the trip was reconnecting with one of our all-time legends, Georgina, at Bramhall Lane Tennis Club for a team match. The day saw the kids enjoying both singles and doubles matches, bringing plenty of laughter and friendly competition.

While the tennis was excellent, what stood out most was the way the lads conducted themselves throughout the trip. Their behaviour, manners, effort and team spirit were exceptional and a real credit to both their families and Thongsbridge Tennis Club. Whether competing on court, supporting teammates or representing the club away from home, they did so with maturity and enthusiasm.

Over the course of two days, the group enjoyed fantastic tennis experiences, strengthened friendships and created memories that will last for a long time. Trips like these are about much more than results, they help young players grow in confidence, develop independence and experience the social side of sport that makes tennis so special.

A huge well done to all six lads for being absolute legends throughout the trip, and thank you to everyone who helped make Thongsbridge on Tour such a success. We’re already looking forward to the next adventure!
